I am a Harvard Law School graduate and I created this blog to assist current and prospective law students who have questions about law school, the bar examination and finding a law related job. I often found in law school that I had plenty of questions and few answers and I know that I would have benefitted from a resource that provided me practical time and money saving advice. Simply click on a title to post any question that you have and I will do my best to answer and assist you.

Hi, what is your advice on trying to get on law review as a 3L? Is it even worth it at that point?
ReplyDeleteHi Nina. You will have to check with the law reviews at your school to see if this is possible. For some schools, you are required to sit for a competition after 1L to get on any journal. For others though (Harvard for example) you can simply write a letter to the journal and ask join. Harvard only required you to sit for the competition for the Law Review but there are several other journals (all of which are highly ranked) to select from. I suppose other schools have this as an option. At any rate, it would not hurt to reach out to the journal to see if you can join. I just worked on a journal for one term (I did not like it) but even with that I could add it to my resume.
